China’s foreign trade development status
Since 2017, the global economy has picked up, and international market demand has generally picked up. In 2017, the world economy recovered moderately and the domestic economy remained steady and positive, pushed China’s foreign trade imports and exports to continue growing throughout the year.According to customs statistics, China’s monthly import and export maintained a stable growth trend in 2017, and each month’s import and export achieved double-digit growth.The total value of goods trade in 2017 was $4,104.47 billion, up 11.37% from 2016, reversde two years of consecutive decline.
Import and export maintained steady and positive growth mainly due to the following factors:
first, external demand picked up.Since 2017, the global economy has recovered and international market demand has continued to pick up, provided favorable external conditions for China’s foreign trade growth.
Second, domestic demand raised steadily.China’s economy has maintained a steady and positive growth momentum, which has driven up the demand for commodity imports.
Third, policy effects continue to emerge.Since 2013, the China’s government has issued a series of policy to promote steady growth of foreign trade and adjust the structure .commerce was together with other regional and related departments, has been working hard to implement policies to help enterprises reduce their burden, created a favorable environment for development, and improved their confidence of import and export .
Fourth, rotatory force of enterprises to and the pace of restructuring was speeded up.With the deepening of supply-side structural reform in the field of foreign trade, foreign trade enterprises were actively cultivated new competitive advantages centering on technology, brand, quality, service and standards, continuously enhancing in their innovation ability and international competitiveness, and further improved product added value and brand influence.A large number of foreign trade enterprises was initiative to adapt to the diversified demands of the market, explored new modes of foreign trade, and the country was actively profected relevant management systems and support policies.
(2) the proportion of service import and export is further improved
In the context of China’s economic development entering the new normal, new technologies, new formats and new business models in the field of service outsourcing had continue to emerge, and service intellectualization and specialization had become new features of industrial organizations.At present, China had become country of second service outsourcing in world.
From 2010 to 2017, China’s import and export total of services showed an overall growth trend. In 2016, the growth rate of import and expor of services total in China was negative, and other years were all positive.According to preliminary statistics, China’s import and export total of services in 2017 was $693.987 billion, up 5.55% year-on-year.In this total, $466,452 million was import’s numerical value and $227,535 million was export’s numerical value.The trade deficit was $238.917 billion, essentially unchanged from the previous year.The import and export of services has been developing steadily and rapidly, the trade structure has been continuously optimized, and the characteristics of high-quality development have gradually emerged.China’s import and export of services is expected to remain the second in the world for four consecutive years.
